Peppermint (EO) Brownies

I came across this recipe on one of the YLEO boards and thought I HAD to try it out!  I love chocolate and peppermint so this is a win - win!  Here's the recipe!

BROWNIE RECIPE: 1 box chocolate cake mix (yeah I don’t do stuff from scratch) 1/2 cup water 1/3 cup oil 1 egg 10 drops Peppermint essential oil (or more for stronger flavor) Mix (it will be thick), press into pan, bake at 325 for 20 minutes (that's how long mine took), or until toothpick comes out clean.
FROSTING: 1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese 1 stick butter 2 cups powdered sugar 15 drops Peppermint essential oil (or more for stronger flavor)
You can easily half the frosting recipe and still have lots!
Mix with beater, add food coloring for appearance, if desired. Lick off beaters first, wash up, then try to put most of the frosting on the brownies, or just eat it. Hopefully the peppermint will ease your tummy to handle all the cream cheese and sugar you are eating.
What I love is the fact that some YLEO can be ingested and cooked/baked with! I have a few more recipes that I will be sharing!!!

I had taken a picture earlier on my phone and there were two brownies on the plate at that time! Then the picture from my phone wouldn't work so I had to take it with the laptop, but in the meantime I had eaten one of the brownies!!! Happy Saturday!!!
