Lack of words, but not of pictures
The weather was nice so we went to Marble Slab for some ice cream and then headed off to Hermitage Park to see the geese and the dogs. Makayla loved looking at all the birds, dogs and people. I loved taking pictures of two of my favorite people!!

FIVE
So, I have been tagged by Elizabeth to talk about 5 reasons why it's so good to be a mom.
Since I haven't been a mom for all that long there are a lot of things that I can't wait for cause I know there is so much more to come. But for now, here are 5 reasons why it's so good to be a mom (in no particular order)!
1. There is always someone who needs me! I am needed to feed, change, comfort and provide for someone (although somedays that can be very tiring!).
2. I love all the snugles and cuddles that one can give and recieve. This is one of the best things about being a mom.
3. I love to watch her grow and learn new things. It has been fun to watch her learn to clap her hands, point at clocks and lights, give high fives and wave hello and bye and watching her learn to walk and discover the world around her!
4. Watching her grow and transform right before our eyes is pretty awesome. We just noticed today the sprouting of her first tooth! Such a major accomplishment! Pictures to come.
5. There is no greater gift in the world than having a child. It is a gift that you get every morning when you wake up and when you go to bed. You know that gift will always be there and it is a gift that keeps on giving!
Being a mom is pretty awesome. It is super tough and a lot of hard work, but totally worth every moment. Now I will tag a few of my friends that are moms (Becky, Julie, Amanda)

Mother's Day

Wow, I just got to have my very first Mother's Day. Last year Makayla was still inside, so it didn't really count. We are hoping to have some sweet family photos done around Makayla's birthday so I just got a very sweet card from Phil and Makayla. Phil also made dinner and took me out for lunch. So, it was a pretty nice day. The house was so quiet all afternoon and I sort of felt guilty for not doing anything. I was thinking I could have done the dishes or done some cleaning, but I realized that it would still be there the next day, so why bother? Instead I read up on how to use more of the functions on my camera. Some of my blogging friends take amazing pictures and I gotta learn more! So, here's hoping that I can take some great photos this summer and in the months to come!
Here's to all the Moms out there - and to my mom, I love you! Mother's have one of the hardest jobs, but also one of the most rewarding!!!

Blessings
There is too much to say and also not all information can be shared at this time, but what I will say is that I am so blessed. When God brings blessings they don't come now and again, they come all at once. At least that is what I am discovering. When it rains it pours, right?
What I can share is that Phil was able to find a new job. He really hasn't been enjoying working at Yellow Pages and has been looking for awhile in town and out of town to see what was out there. He had two interviews on Monday and two job offers on Monday. So, he was able to have his pick for what he wanted to do. He will be working for airport security at, well, the airport!! He will start there in a few weeks. It will be a nice change but one we will have to get used to. He will be working shift work, but no more out of town travel! There have been a few other things that have come up as of late and when the time is right to share them we will (and no there is NOT another baby on the way!).
God is really good to us, providing for us and giving us all that we need!
Here is one of the many blessings!
