We Surrvived YC

Well, the weekend came and went and we are still alive. Phil and I, along with a couple other young adults accompanied 18 youth to YC Alberta. For those who are not familiar with YC, YC is a huge youth event that draws people from all over Canada and even the States. They bring in huge bands like Hillsong's United and Toby Mac and Lincoln Brewster, etc. It was awesome. I really don't like Toby Mac, but he put on an awesome concert on Sunday evening. United did a great job leading worship and there were so many other great concerts. I went with some of the girls to see Panic Squad and we nearly died... there was such a rush when they opened the doors and we were at the front and people practically ran us over. It was crazy! All in all the weekend was great. I am still feeling pretty tired, but it's back to work and we must move on.

In other news, we are closing in on a house deal that should be finalized within the next week or two. Hopefully all will go well and we will be moving in to our new place at the end of June. We are praying hard that all works out because our rental expires at the end of June!!! So, we pray that God will work everything out for us. We will let you know how things go and what the outcome is.

Other than that all is well... I have not spent much time on Facebook lately as it really isn't that entertaining anymore.

Have a great week!

Time to keep my word

So I find myself on facebook and then I decided that I should check my blog to see if anyone left any comments... and to my suprise, my friend Faith made a comment that I found to be very interesting. I worked with her at CP for almost a year and she is one who does not enjoy small talk with people and her comment reflected that facebook is like internet small talk... interesting but oh so very true. Messages on my wall are a love hate relationship. I love that people leave me messages and yet, I hate to reply to them because I find that I can only say a little without the whole world knowing our conversation. Who else finds facebook to be small talk on the internet? I love it and yet I hate it all at the same time...

Kinda like chocolate. I love the taste of chocolate, but hate the fact that it adds extra pounds that I don't really want to carry with me.

Here I am able to write and talk about nothing and only those who choose to come here and visit will read this. Unlike facebook where you get updates about everybody else and by the end of the day you know which friends have been tagged in photos and which people are now friends and who's writen on who's wall... I guess that is enough ranting for today! Faith... this post goes out to you! Thanks for the comment!

My Blogger Pledge

I pledge that I will not let Facebook ruin my life! I will continue to post on blogger as often as possible.

Also I thought it was time for some updated photos of the cats so I hope that you enjoy their cuteness as much as we do!

PS... Jenn's Picture Book has some new photos added!

Potholes

I think these photos are pretty self explanatory! The pothole situation in Edmonton is terrible. Everyday new ones seem to pop up... these were taken just down the street a few weeks ago and the day after I took them they were fixed! Enjoy!
