One Week

Hello Friends. We have now been in Edmonton for one week and we are doing well. We are finding our way around the city and enjoying our time here. Our neighbourhood is so quiet it is lovely! We have had some time to catch up with old friends this last week. I (Jenn) was able to attend General Assembly which is this big bi-annual Alliance meeting. There was a lot of work to do where we talked about policies and procedures and voted on some board of govenors and other things like that. Lots of our friends from Bible school were there so we were able to meet up with them and visit. My parents were also here in town for the week and came and spent Friday night with us. We went to the BC Lions against the Edmonton Eskimos. It was a good game although BC lost. We did get caught in a major rain storm and the game had to be delayed! Ah... what memories we make!

Phil has begun work at his new job and seems to be enjoying it thus far. He has done some local travelling and will be doing some more long distance travelling in the next couple of weeks. I will begin my job on Friday and will see what it all entails (you know the little details that they neglect to tell you before you sign the contract!).

We will be in the T-dot for a visit from July 28-Aug 6 (I believe those are the dates!). We will be spending the time with Phil's family but we are interested in connecting with our friends at Zion on the first Sunday we are there and if there is interest we could be swayed to spend a day at Wonderland! I think that is all for now. I promise to do my best to keep this as updated as possible!
