The end of another week

Well, the last couple of weeks have been good. We had our church summer retreat at Olds College on the last weekend of August. It was good because we just got to go and hang out. We didn't have to be in charge of small groups and I didn't have to do the children's program. I was actually able to be part of the English worship team, which was great!

This past weekend we went camping (FINALLY) at a provincial park called Moose Lake, it is located just outside Bonnyville, for those who know Alberta. It was a two hour drive North East from Edmonton. We went with a couple of friends from church. It was great to be outdoors and just relax. We went after church on Sunday and came back on Tuesday. We pretty much had the whole park to ourself for the afternoon on Monday and all day Tuesday as everyone had to get back to work or school! So, it was very quiet. At night we were able to see the Northern Lights and so many stars. It was so beautiful. We were also lucky to hear the sound of coyotes howling at the moon throughout the night. We had a resident squirrel at our site. He constantly stole our paper towels and one day he got into a box of food and ate a whole right through a plastic muffin tin. We named him "Mr. T". "T" standing for Trouble, Turd Muffin, Thief, and the list goes on. I tried to get a picture of him but he kept on moving too fast. We had a great time and enjoyed spending it with friends.

Work for us both has been going well. Jenn is starting to get busier with work and as the school year begins and Christmas quickly approaches. There are many meetings and events to plan. Phil is working and keeping busy (although he caught a cold while we were camping), and he is really enjoying his job. He has got the hang of this sales thing and really enjoys it. He is happy and we are happy in Edmonton.

Can't really think of much more to say. Will try and get some camping pictures posted here in the next little whiel. We are off to watch the Eskimos play the Stamps tonight. We can only hope that Edmonton loses... again! The weather has been absolutely beautiful and we cannot complain about it!
